Silent Riot:
‘Silent Riot are four 'Indie Punksters' from Birmingham U.K (the mystical , magical litle town called Rubery!), who started in July '07, and are currently making their name throughout Birmingham and further afield. We love making dancable, upbeat tunes for all the kids to dance to and currently we and are gigging vigorously to win the hearts, ears and dancing bones of you, the cool people and ever increase our fanbase. Our influences come heavily from classic punk bands such as The Ramones as well as more modern sounds like Bloc Party and Editors. As well as writing and playing our own material, we have been known to wow the crowds with our interpretations of unusual covers such as S-Club 7 and B*witched. I say no more...’

You may have noticed the moonlit faces of Sam ,Richard ,Lewis and Louis traipsing around the streets of Moseley and Kings Heath. (& HG!)’

444 Club presents The Heathers + The Will to Rally + The Lights + Barry’s Attic + DJ’s playing in the bar.
The Heathers:
‘Formed September 2006 from an unlikely crew Gathered together from around the British Isles . A guitarist from Gloucester, a Bass player from Birmingham and A raggedy ass Scotsman picked off the pavement in Stirling. Thrown together kicking and screaming with a great Brummie drummer for a few weeks, the result was immediate. Several fist fights and reconciliations later the guys have given birth to some heart stopping, hair raising songs From the immaculate vocals to the strong choruses and dynamite lyrics ‘the Heathers’ show a manic passion for music, that is raising the roof nationwide.’
The Lights:
‘The Lights are a five piece melodic alt pop band from the heart of the U.K. Their sound is like nobody else, unique, ecletic and intimately epic with a touch of old enough to know better! As lyrically adept as Idlewild but as melodically breezy as a hard rock Teenage Fanclub, they are a challenge to pigeonhole. Imagine Elvis Costello writing lyrics for ELO, fronted by James Dean Bradfield's younger siblings!
The live Lights experience is electric and frequently spine-tingling, rather than a bunch of college kids recycling one catchy hook, they actually sound like a real working class band with the fire, heart and poise that playing and writing together for years has afforded them.
Shaun (vocals, guitar and the main songwriting force) and Gary (bass guitar) lived in the same street from a young age. From writing songs on the swings of their local park, they hired a classroom at the high school and started taking it more seriously. They were both in other bands before teaming up with Liz (vocals and keyboards) who they met at a gig. Dan (lead guitar) who worked with Gary, was soon recruited and with the others started a three year process of finding a sound and fine-tuning their distinctive style. After a period of hard work and a decent grip on what they wanted to sound like, Warren (Drums and percussion) was added as the final piece in the jigsaw. They continued to work hard and with influences from all the group, found the sound they were looking for.’
Barry’s Attic:
‘Barry's Attic are an Indie band with C86 pop sensibilities. Having played packed gigs recently, the band have proved to have a snowballing local following. Over the last six months they've honed an original sound that follows in the footsteps of Bloc Party, and takes it elsewhere, with a spring in its step rather than a heavy, angsty heart.’
