The Catapult Club presents Gay Gay Gay Gay Gay Gay Not Gay + The Mallory Heart + The Manhattan Project + Hoodoo Fifties
The Mallory Heart:
The Mallory Heart are Nicole, Fi and Sarah based in Birmingham. Along with a drum machine, Nicole and Fi merged late 2006 through a mutual love of The Clash. Whilst marvelling at the greatness of local band Miss Halliwell and their drummer Sarah, Nicole and Fi quickly set about the business of recruiting Sarah into Mallory ranks and in return, the Mallory ranks were recruited into an awe inspiring joint venture with Miss Halliwell. One or the other coming to a venue near you soon.
The Mallory Heart bring you a mixture of grunge and lo fi punk with a feminine, intellectual twist.
The Manhattan Project:
Potent four piece formed in Leicester at the tail end of 2004. They have channelled their influences and fervent passion for noise into a powerful and intense rock n roll stew. Blistering live shows in the city have garnered them the reputation of a band to watch...
Support slots with the likes of Arctic Monkeys and The Enemy amongst others have whetted their appetite. Now, with new material and an unshakeable sense of self belief they are ready to undertake the next stage of their manifesto. To realise that potential and unleash the glorious, visceral beast within them and join the lineage of truly great bands…
Hoodoo Fifties:
Who the hell are Hoodoo Fifties I hear you scream! Well they are a brand new band formed from the ashes of faded dreams, a collaboration in admiration and a fantasists wet dream. Put simply they are an Indie Band, cobbled together by overtly sexual beasts of the night, playing their stringed tools with skill and passion. Their songs neatly crafted through bizarre rhetoric and keen observation, produced by a wizard to create a tasty Indie Pop soup as catchy as a knobbled stick.
Sounds too good to be true I know, but such dreamy pleasures do await you upon introduction to this group of cunning songsmiths. The world has seen so many breakthrough acts, but in such a world does the Indie Pop band ever fade? I think not, and here we see a band shining brightly, filling the lives of those involved with love and heartfelt genius.
