Coming Up .....Tuesday 27th May
Post Folk_Anti Folk_Alt Folk

Since October 2003 Bohemian Jukebox have provided a quality platform for artists and bands working in the fields of Alt-Folk, Post-Folk, Americana, Anti-Folk, and left-field acoustic.

Line up: Ben Calvert and The Fathers + The Smoke Fairies + Little Palm + Dan Haynes

Ben Calvert and The FathersReturn from a little tour to play a home-town gig. The Broken Family DaySaver out 2nd June on Bearos! Unashamedly happy songs of seaside jaunts, day trips, and amyl nitrate sniffin' sit next to reflections on impossible summers, crippling jealousy and the single parent conundrum. The perfect soundtrack to the spring and early Summer wether you are happy with your lot or not...“ 'Flee' is a soft and delicious slice of near nakedly drawn early Marr-esque musings, that in truth is quite perfect for these sultry days..” (Losing Today.)

The Smoke Fairies “These songs travel from the sandy coastlines of rural Sussex to the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, the smoky blues cafes of the American Deep south to the bucolic meadows of the English Countryside.” (Metro) "Fragile folk... these girls produce just about the loveliest two part harmonies you're likely to hear" (Music Mart)"This is music for the soul-Music of the Gods-Music from the Gods!" (rbfanzine.co.uk)"Haunting. Tuneful. Musically accomplished. If you want a four-word review for this duo, there it is." (Indie-Music.com)

Little Palm - Bright and young soulful Indie

Dan Haynes - Coming on like a slightly more carefree Paul Simon with Jazzy tinges, Dan wowed audiences at The Moseley Folk Festival in 2007. “A lovely little affair, mostly centring around singer-songwriters but with other stuff too. (Some quite surprising other things at times.) I liked the vibe, and indeed the value - four quid gets you four musical acts and a chit that lets you get a shot of absinthe for a pound. You can’t say fairer than that.” (russl.wordpress.com)

Venue: The Bulls Head (Upstairs) Moseley, B13
