Little Palm - Bright and young soulful Indie

Dan Haynes - Coming on like a slightly more carefree Paul Simon with Jazzy tinges, Dan wowed audiences at The Moseley Folk Festival in 2007. “A lovely little affair, mostly centring around singer-songwriters but with other stuff too. (Some quite surprising other things at times.) I liked the vibe, and indeed the value - four quid gets you four musical acts and a chit that lets you get a shot of absinthe for a pound. Grime_Garage_Indie

Something a little different from Mob Monday this week.

Tinchy Stryder fresh off his appearance in Victoria Square will be headling this night at the new venue of The Basment in the City Centre. You might know TS from his MC'ing on the track 'Something about your Smile'. If you've never heard the track check out TS's myspace. (You've heard it!!) Whilst your there check out 'Line Em Up.'

Also on the line-up The Allies, Mayday, The Scarlot Harlots, Tempting Rosie.

Lexis brings the Grime while the Indie comes from The Disco Contenders. Also on the night At the Zoo. Its at the Hare and Hounds Kings Heath and is £3 in.

Coming Up On......Monday 17th March 2008

Mob Monday is a weekly club/gig night held at The Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath. It mainly, but not exclusively features local bands.

This week its The Brascoes and Sculptors. The Brascoes are making the short trip from Friday nights gig in Moseley to Kings Heath, with more of their ‘spiky, danceable indie.’ Sculptors combine British indie with just the right amount of ska not to sound contrived.
Worth it for £3. Starts at 8pm.
