this two piece hail from glasgow and have been furiously doing the uk gig circuit for 2 years now, during this time they built up quite a buzz for themselves based mostly around their eccentric, in your face live sets. Their music is a perfect example of how erratic vocals and glitchy electronics can co-exist with stunning pop sensibilites to create something wholy refreshing.

Formed on the eve of 2008 after jamming together and in other bands across South Wales for years The Abortions have been keeping busy, writing songs, practicing, playing shows and just recorded a new CD with Andy Zippy near Glastonbury somewhere.
They are a punk band, They play whatever music they like, how they like and say what they like because they can, and so can you! They like to rock because they are musicians and music fans, every performance should be a purging, played like your last!

Betty & the id promote a special thank you gig this Saturday upstairs at the Tap & Spile real ale pub on Gas Street, just off Broad St.
For your £3 admission you get a copy of the Neutron World CD or a copy of a limited "At home with Betty & The Id" cdr if you already have the EP, they may have some t-shirts too.
Support is from the Peoples Republic Of Mercia, + DJ's playing their wildest and weirdest 7"'s and in tribute to Sparks current tour where they are playing every song in their repertoire, Betty & The Id will be doing the same!
