Capsule present Sunburned Hand of Man + Una Corda

Sunburned Hand Of The Man
"Sunburned Hand of the Man has been an a wild and weird psych collective (I don't even want to classify them as anything as they defy all generalizations and genre peggings) since its inception in Charlestown, Massachusettes way back in 1996. A collective in the most literal sense: the lineup changes, goes through phases; they used to be holed up a Charlestown loft that saw members and contributors come in and out on a regular and frequent basis; none of their releases have been expected or planned terribly far in advance ... they just sort of wax and wane like the moon.

In their tenure as a group, Sunburned has played with a plethora of heavyweights -- from Sonic Youth to Mission of Burma to Dinosaur Jr. -- as well as a myriad other bands, from Magik Markers to Sunn O))) to Wolf Eyes. To say the least, Sunburned has been around, paid its dues, collaborated with the best of 'em, the juniors and the seniors alike." http://www.sunburnedhandoftheman.com/

Una corda hail from Birmingham, England. Featuring two guitarists, two bass players and una drummer, the band features ex-members of illustrious underground acts-Cradle, Marker, Ackbar and Mistress. Their unorthodox line up makes heavy music for light sleepers, a darkly melodic epic soundscape carved out with black headspinning riffs.

Freakin Legend promotions present Telegramme + The Carletons + KateGoes + Mr Bones and the Dreamers

The Carletons:
These four young penwortham lads came together in April 2007 and formed from the splitting of two local bands. Three of the lads, Alex, Jack and Dave, first joined together to form a band on their own. They had known each other since primary school and they soon came up with the name 'The Carletons' for the band. After a month or two of practising together and writing a few ideas they were in search of a drummer to bring the songs and the band together. Soon after, Dave coincidentally came across an old friend at a local gala, Adam, who was a brilliant drummer and without hesitation, they brought him in to the band and 'The Carletons' were complete.

Over the past year The Carletons played their first gig in October 2007, have had radio play on ‘All Access’ in New York, on BBC Radio Lancashire and exposure on Annie Macs Sunday night show on BBC Radio 1. In March the signed to ‘End of The Trail Records’ and in May supported The Subways.
